Burberry's Back Crosses - Later Gen Olive Egger Hatching Eggs

Rating is 5.0 out of five stars based on 1 review

PRE-ORDER 2025

This dozen includes my Root Beer Eggers and my Chocolate Truffle Eggers, in addition to, BC1, BC2, BC3 eggers. This dozen will include the varying shades of olives in my current Back Cross program with a focus on my deeper olive shades. Please remember that it is the eariler generation of Olive Eggers that make the Root Beer Eggers and the Root Beer Eggers make the Chocolate Truffle Eggers and the Chocolate Truffle eggers should make an even darker shade of brown if the hens inherit that gene.

If you want to see the full spectrum of all of our multi-generational olive eggers, I post photos daily of what the girls are currently laying on Facebook and Instagram! These photos are for reference only of the variety of Olive Eggs you will get. This listing is for 12 eggs, I try to include 2 extra of some variety.

This price includes shipping. I can ship 1 dozen (12 eggs) via USPS Priority Mail. These are shipped in Egg Foam Shippers and double boxed. I include "HOLD FOR PICKUP" and the phone number you provided on the invoice. This does NOT guarantee that the Post Office will call you. YOU need to go and speak to them and let them know you want to pick it up.

The chicks from these hatching eggs will hatch a variety of Olive Eggs, many which will be the deeper, darker shades of Olive and some gorgeous chocolate brown eggs. Our Olive Egg collection is constantly evolving with each generation. Back Crossing is the fastest way to acheive those sexy shades of deeper, darker olives everyone is chasing.

Back Crossing is taking our F1OE's and letting our darkest Black Copper Marans boys cover them. This crossing makes our first generation of Back Crosses BC1OE. I continue to back cross the hens from each generation back back to the Black Copper Marans Roosters. This is my largest pen. I keep several roosters in this pen that all hatched from the darkest eggs and they carry a bloom and heavy, blotchy speckle genes. I only keep the hens that lay the eggs that I am looking for - those eye catching, jaw dropping, mouth stopping eggs that you just have to have in your egg basket. If the hens eggs are not up to my project standards then I move them along.

I breed for darker eggs with each generation, unique color variations and patterns, heavy blooms and lots and lots of speckles both great and small!

What you SEE in these pictures is what I have NOW but what their hatching chicks lay will be another generation along and will be another evolution of egg colors, patterns, speckles, and heavy blooms!

*Please note that after the first generation (F1OE), an olive egg is not guaranteed. Additionally, with back crosses (BCOE) you are going to get 50% olive and 50% brown. While some may produce a brown egg it will not be a plain brown egg! The later generations are closer to Olive Egger stability and less likely to produce plain brown eggs, but I would rather over deliver and under promise, so I make no claims or guarantees.

There is so much involved to arrive at that one superior egg that you absolutely must have. You could have 20 hens and only get 1 incredibly unique colored egg in the begining, but the deeper you get into generations, the more awesome the eggs get. That is why it is easier to buy "into" them than it is to try and breed them yourselves, because it takes a lot of time, patience, culling, feed, and money.

    Incredible experience!

I’m truly shocked at my experience with Burberry homestead. 12 out of 14 eggs hatched and my ladies are starting to lay the most incredible eggs I’ve ever seen. Not only that, her birds are extremely hardy and haven’t given me any issues and so friendly! Already ordered more eggs for next year!
