Black Copper Marans Hatching Eggs
PRE-ORDER 2025
This price includes shipping. I can ship 1 dozen (12 eggs) via USPS Priority Mail. I try to include 2 extra of same or different breed. These are shipped in Egg Foam Shippers and double boxed. I include "HOLD FOR PICKUP" and the phone number you provided on the invoice. This does NOT guarantee that the Post Office will call you. YOU need to go and speak to them and let them know you want to pick it up. You can purchase heat packs here. 1 pack should be sufficent as they get up to 100 degrees.
*No Color Requests. I add as many of the darkest shades available at the time I pack them.
Keep in mind I keep the deepest darkest eggs for my personal hatching and photos. Marans eggs naturally fade. You are not getting the EXACT eggs pictured, but I try my best to get you the darkest eggs possible. Remember Black Copper Marans run out of ink as they get deeper into the laying season. They still have the dark-laying gene and pass that on to the next generation. I only keep the dark-laying hens and roosters. My hens lay a variety of shades that range from 6's to 9's to make incredible egg baskets as you can see in the pictures.
If you love dark eggs, check out Burberry Back Crosses or the Rainbow dozen, they are stunning!

ABOUT OUR BIRDS
Our birds are hand raised and handled daily. They are pasture raised and supplemented with a non-GMO, six-way scratch feed, non-GMO Grower Feed, and non-GMO layer feed by Nature Crest. Additionally, they get Cluckin Good Herbs from Scratch-N-Peck, organic sesame seeds, organic flax seeds, kelp, mealworms, black soldier flies, and table scraps. They roam our pastures 24/7/365 and live out in the fresh mountain air and sunshine. They are never sick, never have parasites, and are very hearty, healthy birds. We maintain a very small flock.
