About Us

Burberry Homestead is the home of the highly sought-after Burberry Back Crosses and Burberry Black Copper Marans. We are a small homestead nestled in the beautiful mountains of upstate South Carolina. Our specialties are colorful hatching eggs for your egg rainbow and Goat Milk Skin Care. We have a small herd of dairy goats, both Nubians and Mini-Nubians.

All of our animals are hand-raised and handled daily. Our chickens and ducks are pasture-raised and fed a non-GMO layer feed by Nature Crest, and as a treat, they get a Six-Way, non-GMO scratch by Nature Crest. Chicks are fed a non-GMO Grower feed by Nature Crest.  We add herbs to their feed and deworm on the monthly moon cycle with DoTerra OnGuard Laundry Detergent.

Our dairy goats hail from strong milking lines of both Nubians and Mini-Nubians. They are fed mainly AU Lespedeza Hay and our pasture grasses are a combination of AU Grazer Lespedeza, Novel Endophyte Tall Fescue, Chicory, and Prarie Brome. We deworm them on the monthly moon cycle with DoTerra OnGaurd Laundry Detergent.

Our animals are very hearty and healthy.

We want our animals to free-range daily and maintain appropriate animal-to-land ratios. We spend a lot of time and money maintaining our pastures ensuring they are rested, repaired, and replenished. We practice strong bio-security measures.

We have three barn cats: Oreo, Poppy, and Little Tommy, and two LGD dogs: Duke and Daisy.

My name is Freda, I am the head caretaker at Burberry Homestead. I have been making luxurious Goat Milk skincare since 2017 under MOONMAG Organic Skincare. I started this adventure in my Chicago apartment and built an online retail shop. Since then I moved to the mountains, started a homestead, and bought some goats. While there has been a huge learning curve, I can proudly say I have a dairy goat farm.  I now operate and sell my skincare line under our farm name. I have four acres and a small mixed herd of Nubian and mini-Nubian dairy goats and raise them as holistically as possible. They give me amazing goat milk and I create these luxurious skin-loving products.

Each product is as organic as possible. I use pure grass-fed tallow too. I make products I use and I don’t use products I don’t like or that have a lot of synthetic or nasty ingredients. Tallow is almost identical to your skin’s natural oil. Tallow skincare products are good for oily skin or acne-prone skin due to a high fatty acid composition, bioavailability of niacin, and naturally occurring fat-soluble Vitamins A and E. Fatty acids not only support skin barrier function, but they may also have anti-inflammatory properties. Tallow is an intense moisturizer that assists in retaining the skin's natural moisture. It replenishes the building blocks of our skin that decrease with age. It's non-greasy, won't clog your pores, and is long-lasting and 100% natural. It prevents dryness all day and only needs to be applied once.

Because of the lipids found in tallow, tallow is believed to prevent dryness at the cellular level without suffocating the skin's barrier like petroleum-based lotions do. Additionally, tallow is so rich in nutrients, and absorbs so well, it offers moisture that lasts all day long!

Along with pure, grass-fed tallow, I use *Coconut Oil, *Olive Oil, *Jojoba Oil, *Sweet Almond Oil, *Caco, *Shea Butter, *Castor Oil, *Palm Oil. (*organic)

I use natural clay for colorants and never use micas or synthetic colorants. I use a natural preservative in my lotions and body butter. I try to be as natural as possible because that is what I like to use on myself.

Thank you for supporting our small farm!
